Father’s Day Shopping - Sunday June 15th
When shopping for men, the easiest guide is a little adage my Grandma used to repeat: “Something to eat, something to wear and something to play with”. So, his favourite sweets, a new top and a gadget or toy of some description. Any of these things are sufficient on their own or together. Here are our top picks:
Something to Eat
From flying saucers to refreshers, these sweets are certain to remind your Father of yesteryear. Delivered in a wooden box, this nostalgic sweetie collection is a thoughtful way to spoil your Dad. If a whole box of these is too much, why not try a good old-fashion quarter of something he’ll remember from his childhood. Choose from a wide selection that includes aniseed balls, barley sugar and lemon sherbets. There is even a large array of diabetic-suited sweets available.
Something to Wear
If you are unsure of your Dad’s tastes or measurements, it’s always safe to buy a wallet or keyring. You can even get them ready-boxed for easy wrapping. It’s also easy to choose a watch without risking refunds.
Something to Play With
There’s a big kid inside every Dad, so appeal to his childlike side with this range of driving experiences or outdoor toys. I was particularly drawn to the Geyser Tube for only £4.99. A packet of mints provides the fuel for this garden rocket - which reaches up to 30 feet in the air!
