After all the trouble we went to tell you what to wear and how to get there, three males completely disregarded our advice for the Cartier International Polo event which took place this weekend, turning up naked to streak at the event!

The three streakers have so far evaded capture by authorities, and were even featured on the Cartier International big screen.

This year’s 2008 polo event, an annual recurrence of the polo international between England and Australia, otherwise went without a hitch, and the crowd of over 25,000 enjoyed some of the hottest weather England has to offer. They enjoyed some great sport too, as England just won the match by 10-9.

The England captain, Luke Tomlinson, said the players hardly noticed the streaker-induced break and that it was a bit of welcome relief for the crowd, telling the BBC: “it brings a bit of humour in and the crowd seem to enjoy it”.

A spokeswoman for the Cartier International Polo event blamed “the hot weather and Pimms”.
