The phone, as used by James Bond - played by actor Daniel Craig in the new film - will be available for a limited period and include a memory card loaded with a host of 007 content.

Users will get the first level* of an exclusive pre-loaded spy-style game. In addition, the full colour trailer of the film, behind-the-scenes interviews with the stars and exclusive content such as wallpapers and screen savers will be available on the phone and the memory card.

The C902 Cyber-shot^TM phone is used throughout the film by James Bond to capture evidence and assist the agent on his mission. The 5MP camera, with a unique slide-out lens cover, illuminated touch icons providing quick and easy access to camera options, Face detection, Photo flash and Auto focus enables James Bond to send high resolution shots back to MI6 for quick recognition of his enemies. The phone also offers BestPic^TM which allows users to take nine pictures of a moving object simultaneously and choose the best shot to use, plus Picture blogging for uploading photos to blogsites and PictBridge for printing direct to a printer, without the need for a PC or laptop.

In August 2006, Sony Ericsson also teamed up with James Bond to launch the limited edition James Bond Casino Royale silver K800i Cyber-shot^TM camera phone and in November 2002 the Sony Ericsson P800 and T68i mobile phones were used by several of the cast in the 20th James Bond film, Die Another Day.

Pets are no different.

A couple of months ago, my unwise and devil-may-care Patterdale terrior decided to run headlong into a wire fence, resulting in a worrying ear injury and a hasty trip to the vets. Aside from the merry dance we did getting the poor dog onto the vetrinary’s table, the bill we were landed with for a relatively quick stitch and bandage was fairly hefty. I don’t have a rabbit, but I’m certainly considering pet insurance for the dog at the very least as a result!

In the States, the new iPhone retailed at just $199 (approximately £100) - which represents a huge saving on its predecessor - for a phone which works on the faster 3G network.

What the 3G iPhone represents is a much quicker download time for those users who wish to download content. The new iPhone also comes equipped with GPS technology to enable more services based on the locale of the user.

Buy Apple iPhone 3G Early, or be Prepared to Wait

With O2, who have the iPhone contract in the UK, set to offer this new Apple 3G iPhone for free on some contracts (suggested to be those over £45 per month), it looks likely that this phone will sell out completely. Indeed, O2 iPhone stocks have currently run dry, and an announcement is expected on 10 July as to stock levels of both the original iPhone and this new 3G model.

A replacement for the iPod?

Several commentators have been disenchanted with the iPhone’s seeming lack of capacity, however, and suggest that its lower capacity does not make it a good replacement for the iPod as a music playing and entertainment device. What is clear, though, is that the iPhone does go a good way to providing all the services you might need on the move in one handy size.

With a boatload of features, and an army of willing Apple followers, this lower-priced next generation of iPhones could well be the phenomenon of this year…

Only time will tell.
